The people behind the Hotel Maistra 160
The best architecture and infrastructure are of little use without employees who bring the hotel to life and provide the high quality of service that our guests and we ourselves expect, with joy and warmth.
We therefore also place our employees at the center of our attention, cultivating honest, warm and competent hospitality and thereby creating a friendly, informal, and professional atmosphere for everyone.
Here, we would like to introduce you to our management team. We have been proud of our team since the very start. It is a team of people from different generations and lifestyles. They are all professionals in their field and share a love of their work, pride in their profession, and enthusiasm for the hotel industry.

Martin & Irene Müller – Directors
As a well-established team for many years, the hotelier couple have always focused on hospitality and the joy of working with people, be that guests, employees, or partners. Stations such as the Hotel Waldhaus in Sils, where they worked in management positions for 15 years, have left their mark on them. They have also managed the Parkhotel Bellevue in Adelboden and the Hotel Castell in Zuoz. Irene and Martin Müller have been helping to shape Hotel Maistra 160 since October 2022.
Adriana Kalberer – Front Office Manager
This sporty young commercial employee and graduate of the Samedan College of Tourism has plenty of experience in the hotel and tourism industry. As front office manager, she ensures that reservations are processed smoothly, that the hotel reception provides a warm welcome to all our guests, and she oversees many important administrative tasks and digital processes. As a local insider, she knows her way around and has excellent tips for our guests on local events and activities.

Stefanie Gloor – Assistant Front Office Manager
Stefanie Gloor is another skilled member of the front office team. She completed her commercial training in the Engadine and is very familiar with the region. She has gained valuable experience in the hotel industry and recently graduated from the hotel management school in Lucerne. Stefanie is tech-savvy and has a full toolkit of new ideas and suggestions.
Gianna Sorosina – Head of Restaurant
This qualified hotelier and restaurateur has been working with the Müllers for several years, and together they form a well-oiled, powerful team! Following a maternity-leave break, she is now Restaurant Manager at the Hotel Maistra, where she is in charge of the restaurant, bar, and the Pöstlikeller.

Paolo Pagani – Assistant Head of Restaurant
Paolo is the Chef de Service and is responsible for the operational management of the Maistra service team. Born in Valtellina, the service professional and father of three children has lived and worked in the Engadine for almost 30 years, residing with his family in Madulain. He is a gifted host and a great wine connoisseur. His nature allows him to remain calm even during hectic periods. Paolo has worked in many excellent restaurants in the Engadine over the years and is a very familiar face to many guests and local residents alike.
Priscilla Cavagliotti – CO-Head Chef
Priscilla comes from Ticino and has taken on the management of the kitchen at Maistra 160 together with Sebastian Cigolla. This quiet creator is highly skilled and keeps everything calmly under control. Her cuisine is based on the use of regional products and direct collaboration with producers wherever possible.

Sebastian Cigolla – CO-Head Chef
After successfully completing his master’s qualification, Sebastian took over the management of the Maistra 160 kitchen together with Priscilla Cavagliotti. His cuisine is characterized by authenticity, a strong focus on the origin and quality of his ingredients, and collaboration with regional producers. His creations are a successful blend of the familiar and innovative ideas. Sebastian’s commitment and enthusiasm spur his team on to top performance.
Ladina Lorenzo – Head of Housekeeping
Born in Pontresina, she is responsible for housekeeping and possesses a high level of professional experience and attention to detail. Her main focus is on cleanliness and tidiness; everything must always be spotless. Together with her team, she keeps the spacious hotel in good shape and ensures that our guests feel right at home.

Ramon Spaeti – Head of Creativity
This graduate industrial designer likes to take unconventional approaches and is not afraid to do things differently. With many years of experience as a managing and design director for international luxury and lifestyle brands in Hamburg and Zurich, as well as a senior research assistant and lecturer at the Institute for Innovation and Technology Management at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, he brings a wealth of innovative ideas and methods to the table. In the Creative Box, he brings these ideas to full fruition.

Claudia Massimo – Head of Spa
Claudia is a true Engadine native, having been born and raised here. The Engadine landscape provides her with the strength and balance she needs for her daily work at the Maistra Spa. She loves nothing more than looking after our guests with her team and helping them relax and unwind. After their treatments, they should feel as though they are in seventh heaven – or maybe even eighth?
Friederike Reich – Marketing & Community Manager
Hotel Maistra was a real find for this marketing all-rounder who enjoys innovation and cross-industry topics – and a good enough reason for her to switch from the cultural sector to tourism. From Stuttgart, via Lucerne and Bern, she comes to us in Pontresina and is proof that hybrid working can work. Sometimes in the mountains, sometimes in her home office in Bern. When it comes to books, mind-body medicine, creative box and architecture, she is overflowing with ideas.
