One of the biggest ibex colonies

With around 1,800 ibexes, Pontresina is home to one of the largest ibex colonies in the Alps. In spring, the animals come down to the edge of the village to graze on the fresh grass. The ibex walk above Pontresina is a great way to discover more about this animal, with information provided on the Graubünden heraldic shield, and entertaining steles that lead to viewing points and newly installed ibex loungers to round off the experience.
