The history of mountaineering in the Alps
The Alpin Museum
The Museum Alpin in Pontresina, housed in the Chesa Delnon that dates from 1716, presents various exhibitions on fauna, flora, geology, and Alpine culture and life in the Engadine. Highlights include the presentations of summer and winter mountaineering, the development of the SAC huts, and the multimedia shows. The museum was founded in 1971 by the Mountain Guide Association.
