About Resonance Tourism
Even before the coronavirus crisis, tourism was already grappling with significant challenges: mass tourism and over-tourism put pressure on both travelers and hosts; the effects of climate change were becoming increasingly evident; and the fast pace of modern life left many feeling unsettled. Above all, there was an overwhelming abundance – too many offers, too many choices, and too many travelers crowding into the same places. Mass tourism gives us a fleeting “quick fix” of excitement but simultaneously leaves us feeling overloaded, overwhelmed, and ultimately disillusioned.
The desire for authentic experiences, lasting impressions, and a higher quality of travel, far removed from mass tourism, was growing. Then came the shock of the coronavirus crisis – borders closed, hotels shut down, trips canceled, and social distancing and quarantine rules became the new normal. Travel, as we knew it, had become almost impossible.
This is precisely where the opportunity lies to redefine tourism – making it more sustainable, more mindful. As travel slowly resumes, destinations are chosen with greater intention, and the act of traveling is once again appreciated as something truly special. But what exactly are we seeking? We long for connection, for meaningful encounters with new people, places, and experiences that leave lasting impressions and evoke positive emotions. We’re searching for resonance—a deeper, more lasting value that affects us and transforms us. In a world increasingly characterized by anonymity and automation, we crave unfiltered experiences, authenticity, and genuine connections. This is the essence of resonance tourism.
Maistra 160 creates space for resonance
We aim to foster harmony, tranquility, and well-being, creating inviting sanctuaries for meaningful encounters. We strive to cultivate and embody a culture of togetherness. At the new Hotel Maistra, we focus on what truly matters: embracing a slower pace and minimalism. Here, guests can embark on a mindful journey of self-discovery, indulge in delightful experiences, and engage in enriching conversations. The off-season, in particular, provides a peaceful setting and time for mindfulness and reflection. We want everyone to feel at home and connected to the community. This thoughtful blend of simplicity, purpose, and inviting spaces for connection resonates deeply in every experience.
