The largest glacier in terms of volume

The Morteratsch Glacier is 6.4 km long and possesses a total area of around 14.9 km2. Together with the Pers Glacier, this makes it the largest glacier in the Eastern Alps.

Along the Morteratsch glacier trail, you can hike in the footsteps of the third longest glacier in the Eastern Alps. The trail includes 16 stops at which you can discover interesting facts about the receding glacier and the fascinating life in its surroundings.
