In the Footsteps of Qigong & Taiji
Five Animals Play – Flow Movements in the Engadin Mountains
Five Animals Play
18 – 21 October 2026
In this workshop, you will discover a practice that combines over 1,800-year-old Qigong movements for physical and emotional regulation with insights from modern neuroscience and psychology. A holistic approach to regulating energy, the nervous system, and emotions—with simple exercises that can be continued in everyday life. Set against the majestic backdrop of the Engadin mountains, the workshop offers space for movement, breathwork, mindfulness, and sharing.
The training is based on the “Five Animals Play,” a form of regulatory movement developed over 1,800 years ago by Hua Tuo, one of the most renowned physicians in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). The dynamic movements of the tiger, deer, bear, monkey, and crane embody natural qualities such as strength and serenity, stability and lightness, as well as focus and freedom. At the same time, they open a pathway to fundamental emotions such as anger, fear, worry, overexcitement, and sadness. Your hosts: Wei Braunberger & Dr. Bingjie Cheng
