2.5 days of portrait photography at and around the Hotel Maistra 160 in Pontresina with Swiss photographer Mirjam Kluka
MIRJAM KLUKA (CH) is a portrait, beauty, and fashion photographer.
You’ll learn how powerful portraits emerge from a balance of intuition, trust, and photographic precision. We’ll explore topics such as communicating with subjects, lighting, storytelling, image selection, and editing—in a hands-on, attentive manner that focuses on developing your own photographic style.
In her photography, Mirjam Kluka is interested in the interaction between the subject and the photographer, in the moment when trust is established, an attitude shifts, and an encounter becomes an image. At the same time, she is fascinated by the precision with which light, perspective, choice of setting, focal length, and composition influence the impact of a portrait.

What to expect…
Mirjam Kluka will guide participants through the entire process, from the initial inquiry to the delivery of the images: from the consultation with the subject, through preparation, location scouting, and time management, to the creative process and dealing with unforeseen circumstances such as changes in the weather.
