Cyanotype Workshop - Creating Images with Sunlight

29 - 30 June 2026

Dive into the magic of blue printing! In this two-day workshop in the Creative Box, you will learn the fascinating technique of cyanotype – a historical photographic process that works without a camera and creates impressive images in vibrant blue using only the power of the sun.

You will learn how to mix the light-sensitive solution and prepare the paper, how to design and expose motifs – and how to create unique works from light, shadow, and your creativity.

The impressive nature around Pontresina serves as our source of inspiration: whether plants from the surroundings, found objects from the roadside, structures from the landscape, or your own photo negatives – you will experiment with various materials, develop your own ideas, and create expressive cyanotypes.

Whether as a creative break or an artistic adventure – this workshop invites you to experience the Blue Wonder yourself.

The workshop is led by Martina Ehleiter, scenographer, lecturer, and art educator from Basel.

Course fees:

A two-day cyanotype workshop without overnight accommodation costs CHF 380 per person. Last-minute participants can also attend the workshop for just one day.
The price for a one-day cyanotype workshop without overnight stay is CHF 199 per person.
