This five-day compact course covers the key content of the internationally recognized 8-week program developed by Dr. Kristin Neff and Dr. Chris Germer.
The focus is on scientifically based principles and practical tools for dealing with difficult moments in life with kindness, care, and understanding. Participants learn to develop a benevolent attitude toward themselves and to consciously cultivate mindfulness and connectedness.
Based on current psychological and neurological research, MSC training shows how self-compassion can become a stable habit that promotes well-being, inner strength, and health in the long term. The course is also recognized as a foundation for therapeutic work and a prerequisite for training as an MSC teacher.
The training is based on the research of Kristin Neff (Ph.D., University of Texas at Austin) and the expertise of Christopher Germer (Ph.D., clinical psychologist, Harvard Medical School in Boston). Research in psychology and neurology shows that self-compassion can become a habit that leads to a happier and healthier life. Many therapists consider this course as a foundation to incorporate mindfulness and compassion with deep understanding into their work.
COURSE CONTENT:
- Training of (self-)compassion through meditations and exercises
- Short lectures and group discussions
- In addition, situations and examples of self-compassion and compassion are presented and experienced firsthand
- Starting at CHF 2‘530 per person for single occupancy in a double room
- Starting at CHF 2‘190 per person for double occupancy in a double room
